Service Schedule

Collection services will be between the hours of 7:00am and 6:00pm, except when an emergency exists, at which time WM will notify the City of such emergency. WM may perform collection services on a Saturday when a holiday falls on a weekend and will observe the following legal holidays on which our offices and operations will be close: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. When a holiday falls on a weekday, the collection for each day of that week after the holiday will be made on a working day later, including doing the Friday collection on the Saturday of that week.

Bulk Items to be Collected

Waste Management agrees to collect normal household refuse, rubbish, garbage, and trash from residences within the City. Bulk items and normal trash must be separated. This includes, but is not limited to, the following items:

  • Small appliances that are not banned from landfills (toasters, radios, etc).
  • Furniture (3' x 6' or smaller)
  • Small auto parts in containers, other than non-alkaline batteries
  • Carpet, rolled and sized appropriately for handling by one person

Bulk Items not to be Collected

The following items will not be picked up by Waste Management during weekly curbside collection:

  • Stone, concrete, rubble, earth or sod
  • Material in containers or bundles exceeding the limits noted above
  • Construction Debris
  • Large auto parts (engine blocks, fenders, etc.)
  • Tree trunks or stumps
  • Branches, tree trimmings, leaves, grass clippings, yard and garden debris, brush
  • Large Appliances and white goods (refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, air conditioners, water heaters, etc.)
  • Non-Alkaline Batteries

Bulk Item Pick-Up may not exceed 3 large items and/or 6 additional 33 gal. bags of bulk waste.

City of Menominee bulk pick-up will be as follows:

  • Tuesday and Wednesday routes on January 8th and February 12th
  • Thursday and Friday routes on January 22nd and February 19th
