#mymarinettemenominee

We are in the TOP 20 of The Small Business Revolution! Of 12,000 applications for season four, the Deluxe Corporation lead by Amanda Brinkman cared enough about our twin towns, Menominee and Marinette, to choose us. Being chosen is a defining moment for our community. Here is what you can do today, don’t delay! Use all of your social media channels to create and share everything about why you love our community. Always include #mymarinettemenominee! Encourage your family, friends, neighbors and everyone you can contact to do the same. We have limited time, so do this daily, regular, and often. Amanda Brinkman and the show producers want to see why we love this place.

Remember, #mymarinettemenominee!

Trash Pickup Reminders

The City of Menominee reminds its residents that they may place up to six 33 gallon BAGS ONLY of trash curb side on their designated pick up day. If the trash is put out in a can or container, it will not be picked up. You may cover your bags with a sheet or blanket to help with keeping seagulls, etc. away.
Residents also need to adhere to the bulk item pick up guidelines. You may place up to three items such as small appliances (such as toasters, radios, etc.), furniture (3’ x 6) or smaller, mattresses, box springs, and carpet rolled and sized appropriately for handling by one person. Six additional 33 gallon bags of trash may also be put out. The bulk pick up items should be placed curb side the day before your scheduled pick up day. Items not allowed or placed earlier will be ticketed, and you will be charged the cost for their removal.
The bulk pick up schedule for the remainder of the year is as follows:
Regular trash pickup on Tuesday or Wednesday, bulk pick up on October 10th, November 14th, and December 5th.
Regular trash pick up on Thursday or Friday, bulk pick on September 26th, October 24th, November 28th, and December 19th.
Thanks for your cooperation

Menominee Joins RRC Program

09/06/2018- Menominee officially joins Michigan’s Redevelopment Ready Community program. The designation creates a partnership between the city and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation to help Menominee attract more talent and business investment. Menominee will next receive a formal evaluation in 2019, which includes analyzing the city’s processes, practices, and policies as they relate to planning and economic development, as well as interviews with stakeholders and investors. The formal evaluation and accompanying self-evaluation will put the City on the path to becoming a certified Redevelopment Ready Community, which helps prioritize them for community development incentives. Other UP communities currently engaged in the RRC program include Houghton, Escanaba, and Ironwood.
